Happy New Year 2012!
Hope everyone is having a good new year so far! I have been trying to get back into the swing of things after a long break. We had a great Christmas and New Year's Eve. I have been busy at work on some new projects for this year. Super! Go 2012!
Added Note:
About the pretzel! I totally forgot to write about why I am holding a pretzel in my hand for New Year's. Well, a few years ago I spent New Year's Eve with my friends Steve and Cara. Cara took us to Dudt's Bakery where we got a special New Year's Pretzel. This is a very large pretzel that has icing on top, and sometimes coconut or jimmies (some people call jimmies sprinkles). I have tried to find where the New Year's Pretzel began, and I found this to be helpful and this, too. So there you go. Sadly, I did not get to have a New Year's Pretzel with my friends, but my family did make sauerkraut and the traditional Polish fare. Do you have a special New Year's food that you enjoy?
Here is our New Year's Pretzel circa 2006.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed the holidays! Happy New Year, Missy! :)
Thanks, Sarah! I added a part about the pretzel that I forgot to add in my original post. I hope it all makes perfect sense now. :) Happy New year!
