What I Ate

What I had to eat on June 29, 2010.
Here is my diet from yesterday in comic form. You can read about the Babycakes brownies here and they are sooooo yummy, too. We are trying to eat more fruit. SO far we have been doing very good and buying eight to ten different fruits each week! So fa the pineapple is a house favorite, and Oreo can eat it, too! The peaches are also very good and nectarines!

Illustration Friday: Satellite

Illustration Friday: Satellite
Here is my drawing for this week's Illustration Friday. I have not done a drawing for Illustration Friday in a long time, so I am just getting warmed up! This is a drawing of my beloved kitty, Nilla. When I think of the word satellite, I think of her and all the fur that flies and orbits around her when I pet her! She is shedding and I must brush her always. I must keep the hair from getting in her tummy!

Irreplaceable Comic

Irreplaceable
I know this song is not as popular as it once was, but here is a little comic I made when it was very popular! This was originally published in Flagpole.

Clothes Horse Number One

Clothes Horse for June 22
I love fashion, so I thought it would be fun to draw what I wore, à la Gemma and Hannah. I also love fashion mags, like Nylon! I am also inspired by the lovely Emily's Some Girls Wander. So here is the first in my mini series I like to call Clothes Horse!

In my illustration, I am wearing a cute dress I got from Modcloth and some Mary janes by John Fluevog. I love me some Fluevogs, they are practically all I wear, except for some Vans and Gretel's Clogs!

Crochet Day

Crochet 1

Crochet 2
My friend Becky showed me how to crochet this past weekend. I had a lot of fun using one of my Japanese craft books and making what should have been an egg!

Crochet 7
Here is what I ended up with. I like to think of this as a snowball, or top of a snow cone! I am inspired all the time by other crochet artists, like Howie at Woo Work and Yummy Pancake!
