Draw Your Veggies
My friend Marissa started a group called Draw Your Vegetables. Here are some of the yummy things we have been getting from our local farmer's group, Locally Grown.
We really have been enjoying the blueberries, cantaloupe, and fresh yogurt! And I really liked the beets. Raoul is not as much of a fan, but it is really nice to cook my own beets because I have never cooked beets before.
Did you draw your veggies today?

Illustration Friday - Perennial
The word for Illustration Friday this week is perennial. For this illustration, I looked to some of my favorite garden websites and gardens for inspiration. I really like You Grow Girl for good gardening basics and tips. I also love the HDYGG blog on Readymade, and I am really sad to see Readymade the magazine fold. We also enjoy visiting different gardens, too, like this local favorite.

Working Weekend
Raoul and I had a working weekend, so we have been very busy. We went to the Americasmart for the trade show with our day job. Here are some pictures of the gift products I have designed.
Here I am in our great show room! I am happy to be home and resting up from a long weekend of walking and looking at so much stuff.

Clothes Horse Number Eleven
Here are some of my drawings of What I Wore lately...
This is me wearing my top from Locher's with some olive green pants I found when we were in Shanghai. The pants are from a shop called Fairy Fair, which I loved, but I can't seem to find a link for it online.
Here I am in a top Mom helped me sew (I began it, she finished it) from a Built By Wendy sewing pattern. I paired it with a black skirt that seems to collect every single Nilla hair that is floating around the house!

Locally Grown Foods
Each week we order from Locally Grown here in Athens. Locally Grown is a group of local farms and bakeries, and we place an order online. The order is ready to pick up on Thursday evening. I love doing Locally Grown for a few reasons - I like buying from near by farmers, and it is lots better than standing in line at the grocery store. Plus, there are so many good things available!

Living Room Redux
Last weekend, when we had a few days off from work, we decided to paint our living room. here it is in the before state. Check out Nilla, too. She is a big helper. We got busy cleaning the shelves and floor, plus moving out all the furniture.
Here is the after! We painted it a nice color that Raoul chose called Gray Morning. We removed the doors on the shelves by the fireplace, too. The shelves and trim is a color called Creamy White. We have painted that the trim color throughout the entire house thus far, and it looks really nice with all the colors we have painted.
I am glad to have this project done! Who would have guessed it took us all four of our days off to complete this room? Whew! Next we are putting the books away and getting some nice artwork to fill the walls! Hooray!

Making Popsicles
This ling weekend, I decided to make some sweet popsicles to cool off from our 100 degree heat. It is super easy to make popsicles. First, I used two very ripe bananas. I mushed them up with a fork. then I mixed in one container of Tropical Sweet Heat Greek Yogurt from Atlanta Fresh. Atlanta Fresh is my favorite yogurt at the moment. It comes in so many good and interesting flavors! This was made with their Tropical Sweet Heat flavor. It has mango, pineapple, and spicy habanero peppers.
Next, I poured the yogurt and mashed bananas into my popsicle making molds. I had enough mixture to fill all four of my popsicles, with a little extra for some brekkie. I placed these in the freezer overnight.
And enjoyed a great popsicle today! These were really good and inspired by another local favorite, King of Pops! I was happy to taste the spicy peppers in my yummy popsicles!
