Animal Farm Animal Home

We had the best day with my family on their Easter visit this year. We got to visit Tanglewood Farm! It is a farm that you can visit that has miniature animals! MINIATURE ANIMALS! Can you imagine! As you can tell, I took lots of pictures on this day. I just love animals! We were greeted by this Howdy sign...


And then we made our way in.


Right away we were greeted by the adorable animals. I gave almost every animal there a hug, or at least the ones that would let me.




Love this little guy in a sweater!!!






My mom gave the lambs a hug, too! We really enjoyed these little guys. So soft and cute.

The mini alpacas looked like they were smiling.








This baby was hiding behind the mom and would hum each time I came around to give it a hug.










And here is a baby miniature Shetland pony!

Spring is Here

My parents were in town recently, and we had so much fun together. Here are some pics from their time here, and it is really starting to get nice outside, so it really feels like spring is here!


One of my all-time favorite foods is waffles! We had waffles at a little cafe called Sabine's. It is a small, quaint cafe just outside of Athens. My waffle had fresh strawberries and homemade whipped cream. It was great, and my dad had a German hot dog that he really liked!




This crochet cafe and cookies are really cute!

My Weekend in Pictures - Unicorn Edition

We had a busy weekend, and it felt pretty long, but weekends always feel like they go too fast. We went to see some bands at a venue in Atlanta called the Drunken Unicorn. Here I am with a cheese puff plush that I made, and I gave it to my friend for his daughter!


We saw Gold-Bears, and they were really good!


The club is pretty cool! Lots of stuff on the walls, and unicorns.




We also saw Grass Widow. They were really great, too!


I also had a great mail day and got a big box from my pen pal in Seattle! Look at all the goodies he sent to me. WOW!


And he also sent this vintage pillow. It looks so much like Nilla, and she really likes it!

My Weekend in Pictures: Pen Pals, Snowmen, and Knitting Edition

Last week was a doozy - Raoul and I both caught the same cold, only I still have mine. I managed to get some rest, drink lots of cough syrup, play with the pets, and go to a show. These are some pics from my weekend.


I got two pen pal letters in the same week, so that was awesome! I love getting mail and I love having pen pals.


Oreo and Jumbles are so close. They snuggle so close to each other all the time. SO close that their whiskers get in each other's eyes.


We got to see the Music Tapes under their custom made circus tent! It was so fun, but I had to eat cherry cough drops the entire time. The Music Tapes put on a fantastic performance! More pictures later...






I played with Nilla and she jumped into her box. She loves to roll in this box.

I also had time to work on my knitting - I guess the one good thing about having a cold all week is that I actually had time to make some knitting progress!

Flying Trapeze

My friend Allison and I are taking on trapeze lessons for this year! We are really excited to be doing this together. I took trapeze and silk aerials for 8 years, then I took a break. Allison wanted to get back into it, so we decided to start a class together.




Even though I have not been on the trapeze bar, I feel pretty good about remembering things. I do not feel as strong as I was before, but I am getting back onto the "swing" of things - haha.
