Nilla loves eating the bunny salad from their home. Nilla really likes to eat pretty much anything.


We always say Nilla is a gourmet kitty.


And here is a blurry shot of all the pets at one time! I got so excited for the moment, so that is why it is a blurry photo of my pets.

Oreo Day

Not only is today Valentine's Day, but it also marks four years ago since we found our bunny in a parking lot in Atlanta. Each Valentine's Day I think about this, and sometimes Raoul and I wonder if Oreo was a Valentine gone wrong! I love our Oreo bunny!




I never thought I would be an owner of a pet rabbit. I really like having rabbits, though. Rabbits are so different than having a cat - they eat all the time, they sleep in the middle of the day, and they are so playful and affectionate. OUr rabbits are a part of our family, as much as our cat Nilla is.




After having Oreo for a while, we adopted Jumbles from the North Georgia House Rabbit Society. Not only did I never expect to be a rabbit owner, but now I am the owner of two rabbits! I love Jumbles, and he is a little more shy than Oreo, but he has really come a long way. He really loves Oreo, so that is nice.




Oreo and Jumbles are such a good pair. I love them both! Happy Oreo Day!

Here is Jumbles and Oreo having a nice time. They really like this new little woven bunny bed that I got for them. At first Raoul said they are too big for the pet bed, but they have been into it the last week or so! Jumbles likes it more than Oreo does, but I did catch Oreo sitting in it, too.

Oreo and Jumbles are best friends. Oreo likes it when Jumbles grooms her ears. This is what she is doing in this picture. She puts her head under his chin so he can groom her. he does this to her, too. Sometimes they do this and neither one will groom the other, so it becomes a game.


When Oreo is really happy, she flops on her side. It is adorable to witness! I love when she does this, so you have to keep her very happy so she will flop.


This is Jumbles in motion - his favorite activity is tearing the paper to shreds that is in his pan. Here he is making me lots of "confetti." He does this the most after I change the paper and hay in his pan. This is funny to watch, and if you are not in the bun's room, you can hear him tearing paper like crazy. Silly bun.

Both of our bunnies love to eat from this radish-shaped dish. Oreo sometimes yanks it out from under poor Jumbles when he is chewing.

Shoe Love

It has been very nice here in Athens lately. So nice that Oreo and Jumbles can play on the patio. Here is Oreo loving my shoes!

Snuggle Bunny Monday

Look! Nilla is hanging out with Jumbles! Nilla visits the bun's home quite often. She loves Oreo and Jumbles. The rabbits are not afraid of Nilla at all. They are curious and come to say hello to her. All Nilla wants to do is eat their salad and drink from their ceramic water dish, also known as "bun water." Nilla loves bun water! It must taste better than the water in her very own dish! This week Nilla "kissed" Jumbles and gave him a few licks near his ears. I was thrilled she "kissed" him, but Raoul was convinced she was "tasting" him. We can't be sure...


Oreo and Jumbles played so much in the patio, that they get so super tired. Oreo is relaxing by her Woodland Getaway.

Here are some pictures of Oreo and Jumbles, our beloved buns. They love each other so much, as you can tell in these pictures. They take turns grooming one another and being very best bunny buddies.

Oreo Love

So even if you do not like Valentine's Day, it is a very special day for me. It is the day we found our bunny, Oreo. We found our baby bun! She was abandoned on Valentine's Day in the parking lot at Cafe Sunflower in Atlanta. We thought it was a set up, but her cage had a paper sign that said "free." We could not imagine why someone would drop off a rabbit in front of the fitness center on Valentine's Day - and that was three years ago. So on February 14 we not only celebrate it as Valentine's Day, but also as Oreo Day! We like to think of Oreo as a special gift that Raoul and I found. We are so happy to have Oreo at our home, and I love Oreo to pieces. I never thought that I would be a bunny owner, but now we have you, Oreo! Happy year three!

Oreo and Jumbles are so close. They are the best buddies and it is always so cute to see them cuddle and snuggle together.

International Rabbit Day

Totally did not know, but yesterday was International Rabbit Day! How could we forget our beloved buns? I knew about this from this article on Etsy's blog that I read this morning. You really need to watch the Bunny Playlist cos it features the very talented and funny Amy Sedaris! And Amy also has pet rabbits, too! I have also made the Dynamite Sticks for our bunnies.
